A Cooper’s Hawk, with its long barred gray and black tail feathers, landed in our back yard the other day! I hope he wasn’t eyeing any of the precious woodsy animals who make our home theirs.
Free Online College Courses for the Lifetime Learner!
I couldn’t wait to tell you about these free online courses. Hillsdale College was founded in 1844 by men and women who proclaimed themselves “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings resulting from the prevalence of civil and religious liberty and intelligent piety in the land,” and who believed that “the diffusion of sound learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.”
I’ve been getting so much out of this course, An introduction to C.S. Lewis’ writings and significance. Next, my husband and I will be viewing the online course The Constitution. Click here to learn more about online courses https://www.hillsdale.edu/

On the Nightstand
I just finished The Fear Fighting Book, by Kelly Balarie. “Shushing up and slowing down is paramount to God working in us. God is ready to hit us with unfathomable new perspectives – ones that redefine our past, present and problems if we only stop and receive.”
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been searching for a new perspective. One thing I know, I am a work in progress. I thank God for the grace he gives me every day. Despite popular belief, women do not have to do more in order to be liked, accepted or loved.
God’s given me grace by welcoming imperfect me with open arms. Now, I’m giving myself grace – to not be a slave to a to-do list – and instead focus on the most important thing each day and doing that. For now, I have veered from my every other Saturday blog posting.
I continue to pray that my words will point you back to God our Creator who loves us with an unconditional and unfailing love.
